Nabumetone

That's the drug my Orthopedic doc told me to take(Anti inflamitory). He thinks I might have the beginning stages of Arthritis. The good thing is that he said that I can go a head with the surgery if this does not work. We I had a some serious side effects from this medication and I only took one pill. I broke out into rashes, My body temp felt like it rose, My skin turned a bright red, I had mood swings and it did make me drowsy. All of this from one pill and it took 2 days to flush out of my system. So needless to say I will be having the surgery. He already gave me the number to call if the meds did not work. So hopefully now in a couple of months they will cut me open.

Now I was thinking how am I going to post things from my trip. Well I decided to do the short short version(quick what movie.

Places we ate:
Trails End lunch : Unfortunately Scopa is right. Love the chili.

Akershus Princess story book breakfast: Pastries were great the rest was mah. Princesses made it well worth it.

Biergarten Lunch: This place was awesome! This is going to be a must eat there on every trip. Love the pretzel rolls.

Cape May Cafe Dinner(x2): I have to say for dinner this has to be one of the best values on property. Because even if you do not like sea food. They have BBQ ribs, Roasted chicken, A great Gorgonzola soup and many pasta dishes. Liked the little desserts too. I really enjoyed this place. Especially the sun dried tomato butter for dipping your clams in.

Earl of Sandwich Dinner: Absolutely never a bad choice.

Red Lobster: A nice change and cheaper pace then Disney food. We had great service and we did not even have to wait for a table. This makes Mikey happy.

Hollywood and Vine Lunch: Did not get to even sit down when our buzzer went off. My daughter freaked out at the characters and we decided to leave.

Back lot Express Lunch: Greek salad has to be the best valued item they have. It's huge and it's only like $5 or $6 bucks. Tasted pretty good too.

Fridays: The company I was with made this great. Fried green beans were awesome.

T-Rex: One and done. Food was overpriced and just ok. But I do think you should try it at least once. Since I did now I do not have to.

Beaches and Cream: Well it's ice cream enough said.

Pecos Bill and Cosmic Ray's Lunch (Different days): I put these two together because in my mind they are quit the same. Food is always decent and I love the atmosphere in both. Plus the fix'ns bars love'm!

Crystal Palace: Again the company I was with made this great. Food was good.

That's about all I can remember about the places we ate. We did not do any out of the ordinary shows.

One little tip I will leave you with. If you are going to buy one of those balloons on main street that has a clear balloon on the out side and a Mickey shaped balloon on the inside. Buy it when you are leaving the park. Nothing like getting whacked in the head all day long by a $10 dollar balloon. Which I might add we have had for over 2 weeks now and it is still inflated and floating around mt house. I have to say I got my $10 worth.

Well that's about. I hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Hey guys

Let me start off by saying thank you to everyone who sent their love and support. Adam was a very important person in my life. Yes it was very tough to say goodbye, but unfortunately I had too.

OK now I was not able to do this weekends challenge, but I am so proud of all of you guys who did it. I do like the idea of rotating who comes up with the challenge. I am back. Not sure for how long though. I see the Orthopedic doc on wed. and hope to set a date to scope it. So some challenges might have to be done on the elliptical of bike.

I will post a mike-speed trip report later. That's about it. I hope everyone is happy and healthy.

R.I.P. Adam Marano 6/9/1980 - 1/18/2009

Well when I came home I had planned on posting my experiences at WDW. But at 12:30pm on Sunday while we were passing through Buffalo, NY I got a phone call from my best friends wife that nearly made me drive off the road. My best friend Adam had passed away. Well let me tell a little back story. Adam was a hotchkins and non hotchkins lymphoma survivor. About every 2 years he was in the hospital because his condition was acting up again. Well he finally had to have a bone marrow transplant and he was having some complications from it. After he received the transplant and was released from the hospital we all thought things would be better. Well not too long after that he passed out at home and was rushed to the ER. He had an infection that found it's way to his heart and made his bp drop to a very dangerous level. We almost lost him on this day. But as always he fought thought it. He was later released and things were for the most part fine. Fast forward about 2 years to 2 weeks ago and he was in the hospital because he had an infection. One thing I should add here. Infections for us are normally no big deal, but for someone like Adam it could be life threatening. Well he was getting better and he was released. I had talked to him on Monday the 5th on Jan. while we were down on our trip. I got some text messages from him while we were in WDW and things seemed fine. Well as we later found out things were not. He had passed out at home and he was rushed to the ER. His infection had again spread to his heart and again dropped his bp to a very dangerous level. From what my wife could gather from the phone call we received from Adam's wife he had become septic and things just started shutting down and he could no longer keep up the fight. He was my best friend, brother, one of the smartest people I know. I do believe in an after life and I higher being and all that. But why Adam? He used to be a volunteer camp councilor at Camp good days and special times. It's a place for pediatric caner survivors to go and have fun. His first time doing it he was cancer free. He came home and a couple of months later he was diagnosed with cancer. Again I have to ask why? A question that will be answered hopefully a lot later in my life. Adam I am sorry I never got to say good bye bud. I will leave you guys with this. Hold your loved ones tight. Cherish every little moment because in a flash it could be all over. Luv ya bud.

Last post till after Vacation

Hey guys how is everyone? Are you ready for the race? I know I am. Getting flutterbys in my stomach I am so anxious. I can not wait. I saw on ALLEARS that "What will you celebrate" has started and it got me thinking. What will I be celebrating on this trip. Well my birthday is on the 5th, my wedding anny is on the 9th, and I will be celebrating my first and hopefully not last WDW Half Marathon. And you know I will be wearing my b-day button everyday. Why because I can. Plus I have the same luck as Newell when it comes to celebrating anything at WDW. I know it's kinda shellfish(Sorry quoddy moment) selfish, but hey when I think of the 10's of thousands of dollars I have spent on WDW(remember I am a DVC member) I want more magic! ;) OK enough of that. I will end with this. Guys this has been a long journey together(just keep swimming, just keep swimming). We all have had our ups and downs, but there has always been one constant. We never stopped believing in our selves and each other. I know we will all finish and no one will get swept. WE have all worked hard and I believe. Do you? See you all really soon!

5 cold hard miles

I am feeling better so I decided to go run 5 miles today. Well we got about 9" of snow yesterday and snow plowing was only marginal at best. So the roads were very slippery. I had to run at a slower pace and when I came up on hills I had to almost walk the stepper ones because traction was so bad. But hey I got the miles in. Hope everyone had a safe and happy new years eve. See everyone really soon.
