Soreness
I can not understand why I am so sore and feeling dragged down when I run lately. I just don't seem to have the energy like I had last year. I am going to look into my diet to see if that is where the answer lies. I put in another 5 miler today. I have not been happy with my time as of late. Mind is willing, but again the body is fighting back. And I have been running every other day instead of everyday to give my body a rest. After my run I went to the gym and lets just say my muscles just did not have it today. I worked on my upper body and my core. Well that's really about it. I hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Maybe you need to take more than one day between runs. Give yourself a break and let the body rebuild. Maybe switch to biking or swimming for a week or two.
Good luck getting the body to cooperate. I know you'll figure it out and do great.
Well, I'll tell ya...I'm in the same boat motivation-wise. I think it was more exciting last year with the 1st Disney race on the horizon.. It's been up and down since January, but on the up's I've pained my way for a week or two to establish a pattern of work and that seems to carry me for a while. Of course, if you then have elective surgery it all goes out the window! LOL My surgery, not yours. :-)
I got a 1 mile and 2 mile run in over the weekend and feel about 70%. Hoping to get on the blogs agains and start to challenge all you slackers!!!!
212? What happened man, that's not you. I gained some weight as well, probably around 198 again... Gotta get myself back on the strict point counting again as well as ratcheting up the miles. I know it'll come back. I'm confident you'll find your groove as well!
