Not so fast young man

That's what my knee was telling me today. It hurt. No if ands or buts about it. After pushing myself yesterday I should of just taken today off for rest. But not determined stupid me. Nope I just had to go run. Well I did my 5k loop today and ran it in 33min flat. I walked the first 1/4 mile just to try and loosen up my knee. I then did a very light jog and then I was able to move a little bit better. When I got home I put my back on the floor put my knee on the couch and iced it for about 15min. It is feeling better now. But I am not going to run tomorrow. Just not worth any extra injury.

On a more positive note I ordered my park tickets for my trip in January! My wife had been laying it on thick because we can not afford to send the whole family down. Hence why I am doing a solo trip. She kept asking why I could'nt just go down for the weekend then come home not be down there for 9 days. Well I am already driving down. Since I am a DVC member I am not paying for the extra resort days. And the difference between a 4day park hopper and an 8 day park hopper is only $20 before tax. So the only thing I will have to worry about is food. And since I am going solo even that is not going to cost me much. I guess I am venting just to vent. Sorry about that. Well that's it. I hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Nine day solo trip would kick so much butt. No way Kristin would let me get away with that. Have fun. Wish I could make it down in January to see everyone again.

Good call, holding off on running. Rest that knee and make sure it doesn't get even more sore.

I'll be there in January for nine days too...but for me all trips are solo :)!

Mike, Here's tip number #47 from Fred's book 101 everyday uses for corn.

Go the store and get yourself a nice bag of frozen corn. Return home and apply to your knee. The bag will contour nicely around your leg and you'll feel a-maize-ing.

I'm going to start calling you Houdini...as in, I'm not sure how you go her to agree to a 9 day solo trip to Disney!!! You should write a book for all family men to read as we could use your insight! ;-)

I like Wasowski's idea about Corn'n the k-nee and after, you could make yourself a nice bowl of corn chowdah (the -dah is for Heath). Mmmmmmmm Corn Chowdaaaaaaaaah.

Mike-Speed in second gear..hmmmm...well no worries Mr. Speed, pain is just weakness leaving the body anyhow, right?

Thanks for the chowdah reference Chris, but I prefer clam chowdah. Especially when I'm watching the Sox sweep the Yankees...again!!
