Well around the house it was. I wish it pertained to training. No gym this weekend I just had too many projects I have been putting off. But I did get a lot accomplished so I would not have to worry about them for a while. I made a trip to my favorite running clothing store Marshalls. Yep that's right Marshalls. I needed new running clothes because what I had was starting to wear out, Seams splitting, fabric just worn etc... Well Mike what did you get? I'm glad you asked. I got 5 running shirts (3 Nike, 1 Reebok, and 1 Asics). 2 pairs of running shorts(1Nike,1Champion). And finally 2 pairs of running socks(Adidas). And why do I love shopping there so much. Well all of that name brand running clothes only cost me $99.76! If you guys have one in your area I suggest you check them out. The Asics shirt I bought I really like. It was from last years N.Y.C. Marathon. It is a tank top running shirt that has a very very good UV rating. On a more humorous note(at least to me). I was watching a commercial for the NBA playoffs. And they cut to their slogan that was on a wall and it said. "Where Amazing Happens" or W.A.H for short. I just started laughing when I saw this. I used to be a huge fan of the NBA in the late '80s to mid 90's. I loved watching Jordan, Malone, Bird, Magic, Mullen, Hardaway(Tim), Drexler, The Dream etc... You know before players just started skipping college and going straight to the NBA. Which in turn changed the sport into a bunch of immature boys, not yet men. I can not remember a player staying 4 years college(Yes I know 2009 UNC team) since Tim Duncan. OK I will stop my rant.
On a Disney note. Who here is worried that with all the recent layoffs at the World. That the quality of your experience will be compromised? I know I am. I have to admit I never have had a really good C.M. experience as a guest at the World. I have actually seen C.M.'s shy away from guests. And as a former C.M. that kinda makes me sick to my stomach when I see that. Don't get me wrong I love going to the world because it helps me just get a way from reality. But I have come to expect very little from my C.M. experiences. But what makes me worried is that with less help the bad C.M. experiences will be a lot more which I do not want any first timer to experience. OK I will stop here. I could go on. As always I will end with. I hope everyone is happy and healthy.
P.S. Happy Boston Marathon day!

Marshall's- i'll have to check them out. I have purchased running gear at Ross which is similar.
Yes, I do worry about CM's getting snippy or rude to guests. Having worked retail for a long time I've seen people with excellent customer service become horrible when asked to do too much because of staff shortages.
get the odd jobs at home done so you can enjoy other stuff. To do.
Yeah I have to agree with the customer service issue. We are dealing with that now here were I work.
Didn't realize you were former CM. Where did you work? Was it CP?
I'm not sure if we have a Marshall's here in hillbilly hell, but I will certainly try to find one. Sounds good for someone like me who's on a private college student's budget, haha!
On the Layoff situation: I am worried about a lack in "Magical" Customer Service and I'm sure that it will suffer somewhat if Disney continues to make staff cuts. However, and I've said this before, this recession (and that's what it is, I don't care what the media wants to call it) will pass. This country has gone through many recessions before and we've all come out fine. Now... if the government would keep their noses out of it and let the markets adjust themselves, it would be over quicker and a lot less quicker, but now I'm ranting so I'll stop.
If Matt can't find a Marshall's, I'm sure he can head down yonder and find a WalmartS....haha...sorry, couldn't resist.
