The day after
Did 5 miles today in 42:25. Was a little winded. Still adjusting to the cold. My joints just do not like it. Ate like a pig last night. Hence the 5 miles today. That is really about it. Hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Baby it's cold outside.
Love that song sung by Dean Martin. Did 6.68 miles yesterday and also tried my first gel or goo depending on which brand you buy. I held it down no problem and I have to say a few minutes after I took it I start to feel a little more spring in my step. Think I might keep using this on my longer runs. And today was hill training day. I am switching it back to sundays because my running buddy Bill from work is back to running there. We did a 4 mile run today. It's not a route I normally run but man was it tuff. Temp outside was 20deg. and I could tell my lungs are still not adjusted to the cold yet. Well that's about it. I hope everyone is happy and healthy.

I'M HARDCORE! (Updated)
OK that title was from an article in last months runners world. Reason for it you may ask? I just got back from running my first trail run. 11.35 trail miles in the rain! Yea I'm soaked. I did learn something on this run. I am not even as close to as tired on this run as I was running the Buffalo Half Marathon. You might say well yeah Mike because you only ran 11.35 miles and the Buff. Half was 13.1. True, but have you ever ran trail miles? Roller coaster my friend roller coaster. Buffalo for the most part was flat. So I have a good feeling about this. What even made it better is that I ran with a running group called the Gold Rush. These guys are pretty serious runners. Some are 6-7min mile marathoners. I was able to run with the front of the pack for most of the run. I never fell to the back which I am happy about. I could tell that they were running at a little of a slower pace. Not sure how fast we were going because nobody clocked our time. Not about pace today. So I am feeling good right now.
Now tonight we are in for a real treat. My desperate mousewife, my DD, and myself are going to a DVC party here in Rochester, NY. It is at the Strong National Museum of Play. Awesome place. We have an annual pass for there. Can not wait. It starts @ 7pm. I will update how it went when we get back.
Well that's it. I hope everyone is happy and healthy. Team Voice "Many Goals, One Voice"!
Update: OK we went to the party. Or should I say sales pitch. They talked about Bay Lake Tower. Animal Kingdom Villas, and the one I was most interested in The Tree House Villas at Saratoga Springs. They only had an artists rendering and WOW! They are going to look amazing. I can not wait for it. One thing I thought was pretty cool is that DVC chose Rochester and the first city to throw their party. They also Talked about Disneyland and the news Cars land attractions. One looks really cool, but reminded me of test track. After they buttered us up is when they started their sales pitch. If I had the money I wish I could of added on to my ownership. They were offering some amazing one time deals that really made it worth adding on. Oh yeah and for you guys thinking about buying in. The cost per point for the Animal Kingdom lodge is going up from $104 to $112 in January. You would think in this economy Disney would stop jacking up their prices and hold firm till things right themselves. Oh well. And yes I got some audio from this. I have not listened to it yet to hear how it's sounds.

Feeling better
A little sore this morning so I decided to take it easy. I started walking at first then went into a light jog then opened the throttle a little. I ended up doing 6.31 miles. Somethings I found out on this run. For some odd reason the town has decided to work on the water lines at this point in the year and they had to pick not one, but two streets on my running route. And also I need to pick up the pace if I plan on hitting my goals in January. But it felt good to be able to get out there and run. I had not run since last Friday because my stomach problem came back and was worse then before. But I am all better now.
OK now on to Disney news. So how awesome is the new deal. Stay 4 nights get 3 free and they also give you a $200 gift card to spend in the parks! Well awesome for non-dvc members. People here is the one down fall DVC membership. When they do cool things like this we get left out of the loop. Even though we have spent 10's of thousands of dollars on our DVC membership. I will be sending DVC an email about this just to see what their response is. OK venting is over. I hope everyone is happy and healthy. Team Voice "Many Goals, One Voice".

My tummy hurts
Hey guys. I know I have not posted in about a week. And that is because I have had a stomach virus(I think it was a bad can of tuna. Exp. date was fine just think the tuna was bad) that has prevented me from training. Before today the last time I ran was on Sunday. I just could not be too far from a bathroom. I thought it was all over. I woke up this morning at 7am. And got dressed to go run. Nope straight into the bathroom. This would happen 3 more times before I could walk out my door. When I was able to get going I had planed on doing 5 miles today. And man today I was flying. I thought nothing could stop me. Then at mile 2.5 my stomach decides to drop. What really sucked is that I was 1.5 miles from my house. Lets just say grease lightening could not catch me. I think I posted a 5 min. mile for the run to the house :). After I got all squared away I went back out there and ended the morning with 6.06 miles. I stopped timing myself when I got back to the house because I forgot to stop my watch. So all in all not to bad of a run. So how is everyone else doing?
