Welcome foolish mortals

Hey guys what did ya think of the intro, roll call, and end segments Jeff and I's devilish half's did for All About the Mouse? And yes you need to listen all the way through. And can you guess which podcast star is at the very end?

On the training front I got in my normal 5k route today. 25min. 22sec. And I had to wait for the longest stop light yet again today. Oh well. Knee is felling fine and so are the shins. I had put on some pounds since I was not able to train there for 2 months. I was back up to 210, but I weighed myself today and have been able to drop 5lbs. in only a couple of days. Just goes to show how great running is for ya.

On the home front. I just recently bought a 2003 Dodge neon sxt. Now I am a Chevy guy. Born and raised. But I got a really sweet deal on this car and could not pass it up(mainly because my step mom is the assistant to the auto dealers owner and son and COO. So basically we get taken care to keep her happy). I was driving down a road called Empire Blvd. today(very very busy) and all of a sudden my left rear tire just locks up and I almost got rear ended! I pull off to the side of the road and just let my car sit. I tried putting the car in drive and it would not move. I was able to go backwards with the car though(That tells me E-Brake). Finally it let me go forward and I was able to get the car home. The drum brake was smoking like crazy. What really got me upset is that I had my 2 year old DD in the car with me. So I called the VP of used car sales and I could not get a hold of him. I tried his cell(Yes I am persistent)Nothing. Finally I called my Step mom and nothing. I am kinda pulling my hair out right now. I drove it up and down my driveway and I can here the brake rubbing against the drum. It also sounds like maybe a spring blew off too. I can here some metal moving in there. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OK now that I got that off my chest.

I will end with this Team Voice "Many Goals. One Voice"

Let it snow, Let it snow, Let it snow?

Hey guys that's right we had some snow last night. Made for a very cold run this morning (34deg). It was snowing yesterday morning and I decided to just take a stroll to help my body adjust to the colder then cold weather. Well today I laced up the new running shoes and the second my body hit the cold air tightness through out my body. I had to run a 10min. mile pace just to keep from injuring myself. What sucks is that my body did not start to loosen until the final .1 of my run. And when it did I was ready to go full bore, But since I was pressed for time I had to stop. So only 3.1 today. That's about it today I hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Hill training+Elevator run = one tired mouseketter

Hey guys just getting in from my elevator run. I did 8.44 in 1hr 15min 33sec. I am not happy with it because I know I can do better. I had am awesome hills day yesterday. I did 6 miles and did not have to stop for a rest at all! So today I just did not have it. But I did it and am glad I did.

Thanks to all who posted an answer to my question on my last post. Those were some great stories. I hope I get more!

Hope everyone is happy and healthy.

Where's the cold?

OK I have to admit that I love the cold. I went out for my morning run today and it was already 70 deg. outside! Come to find out that it is supposed to top out at 80 today. OK where has fall gone and what did you do with it. Anyways did my 5k loop and did not feel like timing myself so I didn't. My right shin was not feeling up to par so I ran a much slower pace. I was able to get through it with out any problems. I go to see my orthopedic on Wed. just so I can tell him the same thing I have been saying for months now.

OK on to another subject. I want to know what was your first memory of Walt Disney World? I remember mine. It was when I was down on the college program. My second day there I had my traditions class. 8 hrs.( I heard it is only like 4 hrs. now) of learning who Walt was and his vision for WDW. During the class they brought us into the Magic Kingdom from the back and I was like omg this place is amazing! I had never seen anything like it. We took a walk around and the whole time I was in utter amazement. I don't remember a thing our instructor said while we were in there. But on my first day off I got to enter the Magic Kingdom from the front. WOW just WOW! The floral arrangements, the train station, all the people, the band that was playing. See since I always entered from the castmember entrance I never got to see what it was like to enter the park at rope drop from the guest entrance. I knew from that day on that Walt Disney World was going to be part of my life for a very very long time. OK now that I shared mine I want to hear from you guys. I do not care how long it takes for you guys to tell your story. Even if you are a Disney fan and read my blog, but never post go a head I want to hear your story.

Well that's it . I hope everyone is happy and healthy. Team Voice "Many Goals, One Voice"

I've been Mongelloed!

Hey guys did as I said I was going to do. Got up and ran 3.1 miles. Took it easy on my run. Even with 3 stop lights I was still able to post a 27 min. 50 sec. time. I am happy with that. Then went to the gym worked on my abs, balance training, and also my lower part of my body. Food has been good so far today and my shins are ok and so is my knee.

Now onto the reason for my title of the post today. Well if you read the comments from my last post you will see that none other than Lou Mongello himself posted a comment. I must say I was a little geeked when I saw that. So thanks Lou!

And until I hear other wise from Rae. Guys do not forget to pay Rae for your Team Voice shirt. Again all you have to do is click on the donate button on her blog. It's quick and painless. Of course unless you are Monty Burns (Excellent) then parting with money is such sweat sorrow.

That's all for now. I hope everyone is happy and healthy. GO TEAM VOICE!!!! Many Goals, One Voice!

Mongello!

Hey guys things are starting to get back on track here. I ran on sat and sun. Got my fa-mouse shin splints on my right shin. So I have been taking it easy. No gym yesterday because I had to take my new/used car I just bought in for service(ugh). And no gym today. But I plan on running in the early morning then going to the gym. That's about it. Rae I can not wait to see how the shirts came out. And guys do not forget that you need to pay Rae for them. Just click on the donate button on her blog. It only takes a couple of minutes. That's about it. Remember Team Voice "Many Goals, One Voice" saying it loud and proud!

Pretty good sure as your born

Mongello and welcome back to the MPATHV post. We a have a great post for you today that focuses on training. Or not as much as I would like. You see on today's post I will talk about being lazy, letting personal life/work get in the way and oh yeah did I mention being lazy.

OK so I got that out of the way hey guys. I have to tell ya I have been in a real funk lately. I have been running, but only on Sat. and Sun. to give my knee rest. I have not been to the gym as much as I would have liked the past 2 weeks. My eating habits were taking a turn for the worst. But I did get that under control. Being broke is a great allie for someone who is trying to lose weight. I have had a hard time getting out of bed in time to go to the gym or run before my desperate mousewife goes to work. And because they have a daycare at the gym I make an excuse as to why I can not pay the $3 for the hr. I am at the gym. This whole knee situation has really put me in a state of depression and excuses. For those of you who know me I have never made excuses and just went out and ran. Rain, Sleet, wind, heat, snow etc. I did it not to get it over with, but because I wanted to run. Now that little devil on my shoulder keeps saying why bother you might not be able to run in the Half in Jan. anyways and the Angel on my other shoulder has a bad case of laryngitis. So I say "F" it all! Right here right now I am going to make a commitment to you all that I will not let this get the better of me and that I will try my hardest to put mike-speed back on the map. I have come too far to let this happen now! Devil on my shoulder get the HELL out and the Angel on my shoulder go see a doctor. I'm gonna need you.

On the podcast front. If you have not already go download and listen to the latest episode of "Those Darn Cats". I have to say it's their best one yet and Lisa did an awesome job editing. Plus Jeff W. the BEST intro guy in all the land is on the show. So check it out.

See ya fellow Team Voicers. Remember and I have not said this in a while "Many Goals, One Voice".
